Giving

Giving

We believe that the one thing that competes most with our love for Jesus is our money

Giving helps us to show Him that our relationship with Him is more important than our attachment to our "stuff".

We believe that God has called each of us to give generously of our time, talent, and resources for His honor and for His purposes. Your support impacts our community and individuals around the world - we, the Church, have the potential to be the greatest force for change here and around the world!

RCC is faithfully committed to good stewardship and integrity in the management of the resources God has provided us. Thank you for partnering with us!

Tithing

A tithe, or in Hebrew, one tenth, is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that is to be given back to God through the local church. This idea of giving the first 10% is taught throughout the entire Bible. When we give our tithe, we express worship in a real and tangible way by showing God that He is first in our lives.

Tithing is our way of giving God our thanks for His blessings, demonstrating our trust in His ability to provide and care for us, while allowing us to be part of His work in loving and caring for others.

You can learn more about tithing by reading these passages from the Bible. Check out Leviticus 27:30, Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:6-10, Matthew 6:19-24 and 1 Corinthians 16:1-2

Offerings

The Bible teaches that special offerings were often received as gifts over and above the tithe, for special building projects, (Exodus 36:2-7) helping the poor (Acts 11:27-30) and specific missionary outreaches (Philippians 4:15-20). After we are able to give willingly of our tithes to the local church, God's desire is that we would use our surplus blessings to support these three ministry opportunities.
