UPDATE AUGUST 26

Greetings from Germany!

We are now two days into the kids week here and I have been given the responsibility of filming and photographing everything that happens. So there are some very cool video and photo clips on the way.

There are about 200 kids attending this Kinderwoche (kids week) and 80 church workers. 150 of the kids are from non-church going families, so this is a real outreach to the entire area as we share with the kids and they in turn go home and share about all the things that they learned and experienced. The last day the kids are bringing their families with them to a huge concert, where we will have testimonies and a church service to end the week.

The theme for the week is the 10 commandments. Each day we teach on two different commandments and introduce who God is and his love and his plan through his commandments. It has been really powerful and a very strong message, using lots of visual effects, drama and activities.

First thing after the kids arrive we have praise and worship, then an ongoing play that ties in the 10 commandments, illustrations and teaching about the two commandments for the day and practice learning Mark 8:30&31 by heart. Afterwards the kids divide into small groups and talk more in depth about the commandments, who God is and how they can love him through obeying the commandments.

In the afternoon the kids play, do workshops, service projects for the community and other activities. And we end with praise and worship in the evening. The kids arrive at 9 am and leave at 5pm so it is a full day of running, playing, worshiping and activity.

I plan on writing a full update at the end of the week, complete with pictures and such...but for right now, I wanted to share a little of what God has been doing here.

One quick testimony update, Vitole - the young gang leader who has been seeking Jesus but not yet committed his life to the Lord - I had a chance to meet with him the other day and he complained of his lower back hurting. He had hurt himself jumping off of a 10 meter diving board into a swimming pool. Anyway, three of us prayed for his back and God healed him by the next morning!

Blessings to you all. Thank you for your prayers and love and support.

UPDATE AUGUST 19

Well...only one more day before I head out to Germany and I am very excited. Many people have approached me and asked how I plan on keeping people updated and stay in touch while away. I have told them about the website on rccfoursquare.org and that I plan on making weekly updates in newsletter format.

I wasn't sure where things stand on getting that page or link or whatever will be done on the website up and running. It would be nice to have it working while I'm away so that people can have a simple way of checking up on what God is doing. But if it isn't possible or just is too much on the plate for this season, please let me know so that I can plan on contacting and updating people on an individual basis. Keeping in contact with RCC members and letting everyone know what God is doing in Baden-Baden and how they might pray is very important to me.

So what can I do to help? Who should I be sending the updates to? Any days in particular that are good to have them in by? Is there a certain format that would be better than publisher? Do I need to re-send the first newsletter page I emailed to Cally and Alex? Just let me know and I'll do all that I can.

Thank you guys so much for all of your help and support. It's a blessing to me that you guys think of me and pray for me. You're all awesome!!!!

Blessings,

Anna Marie
